My anxiety's about blogging

I've never blogged before, not even on myspace. I'm having some anxiety about writing and having my entire class look at it and possibly comment on it. I don't really think of myself as a good or even decent writer. However I have a lot of confidence in this class and I hope it can help me become more confident and secure with my writing. I hope to someday become a nurse, so I better get used to others looking at my writing or in that case charting inorder to succeed in my future career.
When looking at the syllabus for this English 300 class, I get additional anxiety from the peer workshops. Although they will help the class develop writing skills, I am still not excited about them. On an up side to this class, I really like the freedom this class has to write about pretty much whatever we want (unlike most/past english classes I have had). I can't wait to develop stronger writing skills and I look forword to facing my anxiety head on. Well that's all I have to say right now, thanks for reading.

  1. It's natural to feel a little anxiety towards a new class. Even I feel a little anxiety each time I start a new semester. But I think you have a good attitude about it. You are nervous about things like the blog and peer workshopping, but you are also ready to face them head-on. I think that sort of attitude will take you far in school as well as in your future nursing career.

  2. Well, one thing might comfort you: someone's worse than you. You don't seriousely think that a new comer ( I just arrived in America the end of last July) can do better at English writing than you, do you?

  3. awh, don't be worried about peer workshops! if you ever need a partner or someone that won't judge you or your writing, i am totally here for you!! i love to make friends and i would love to help anyone in english. english is going to be my major :) so totally don't worry. when giving speaches, just remember to invision everybody else sitting in their underwear ;)
